Image Licensing

Frequently Asked Questions

All images from my existing wildlife photography archive are available for licensing for editorial and commercial projects.

My collection includes photographs of European hamsters, European ground squirrels, red squirrels, mice, foxes, wild rabbits and various bird species.

If you're looking for a specific animal, subject or behavior, feel free to share your requirements with me. I'll be happy to put together a tailored selection of images for your project.

Image licenses are available for a wide range of uses, including magazines, newspapers, books, calendars, websites, social media, advertising campaigns, corporate communications, and other print or digital media.

The specific scope of usage is determined individually for each project, ensuring you receive exactly the rights you need for your intended publication.

The licensing fee depends on the intended use of the image and the scope of the required usage rights.

Factors taken into consideration include the type of media, print run or audience reach, duration of use, geographic distribution, image size, editorial or commercial use, and any exclusivity requirements.

Once you've provided the key details of your project, you'll receive a personalized quote tailored to your specific licensing needs.

To provide an accurate quote, it's helpful to include as many details as possible about your planned project.

The most relevant information includes the desired image or subject, the type of media, intended use, duration of use, geographic distribution, and, for print publications, the print run and approximate image size.

If you don't have all the details yet, that's perfectly fine. You're welcome to send an initial inquiry with the information you already have.

Yes. Depending on the image and project, exclusive or partially exclusive usage rights can also be arranged.

Exclusivity can be limited to a specific period, country, industry, product category, or intended use.

Since exclusive rights may restrict the further licensing of an image, pricing is determined individually based on the specific requirements of each project.

Yes. My images are used internationally by magazines, publishers, media companies, and other clients.

Depending on the project, licenses can be arranged for a single country, multiple countries, specific regions, or worldwide use.

The agreed geographic territory is clearly defined in the licensing terms.

Standard technical adjustments to fit the intended layout, such as reasonable cropping or resizing, are generally permitted.

Any modifications that significantly alter the image content, remove or add animals or other elements, or misrepresent the original character of the photograph should be discussed and approved in advance.

If you're unsure about a particular adjustment, feel free to get in touch before publication.

Unless otherwise agreed, editorial publications should include a clearly visible photo credit.

The exact credit format will be specified in the licensing agreement and may appear directly alongside the image or in the publication's designated photo credits section.

Alternative arrangements may be agreed upon for certain commercial uses.

Once the licensing process is complete, you'll receive the selected images in high resolution, suitable for the agreed intended use.

Print-ready files can be provided for print publications, while optimized versions are available for digital applications.

If your production has specific technical requirements regarding file format, color space, or resolution, these can be discussed and arranged in advance.

First, send me an inquiry with the image you're interested in or a description of the subject you're looking for, along with your intended usage requirements.

I'll then provide a suitable selection of images or a personalized licensing quote. Once approved, the agreed usage rights will be confirmed and the high-resolution files will be made available.

You're also welcome to get in touch for time-sensitive projects or publications with tight deadlines.
